Heavy Equipment Maintenance Engineer
McLean Contracting Company is looking to hire a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the Baltimore, MD area. Heavy Equipment Maintenance Engineers are responsible for enhancing and maintaining the preventative maintenance program with a goal of increasing equipment reliability and uptime on the projects.
Essential Duties:
Develops and enhances preventative maintenance scheduling per OEM recommendations with parts lists, work activities/plans, and supports documentation for the maintenance technicians.
Generates PM work orders and distributes to regional Equipment Superintendents for completion.
Tracks PM work orders and closeout, reviews cost, analyzes trends, and recommends efficiencies to the team.
Continuously develops and enhances service vendor options, Company-wide.
Reviews oil sampling results, monitors trends, and makes recommendations for repair/rebuilds.
Assists with parts sourcing and procurement.
Participates in failure analysis on unscheduled repairs. Report findings to the team and projects.
Manages efforts and reviews cost on equipment refit projects and other assigned special projects.
Travels to projects and inspects Company assets.
Education/Experience:
AS/BS degee in Diesel/Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical/Civil Engineering, Mechanical/Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management or similar degree with a good working knowledge of heavy construction equipment and cranes with two (2) years of related experience. Ability to use CAD is preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation to work and able to pass a physical. Must be able to pass a Homeland Security background check to qualify for a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
