McLean Contracting Company was a joint venture partner with Wagman Construction and Corman Construction for this major interstate interchange improvement project. This project, located in Baltimore County was the first of multiple contracts for the complete reconstruction of the I-95/I-695 Interchange. The interchange reconstruction was required for the realignment of the existing travel (general purpose) lanes and the addition of new Express Toll Lanes (managed lanes) along I-95 and I-695. This project involved removing the existing double braided interchange and constructing a new and reconfigured four level interchange for general purpose roadways and ramps. It also included construction of various other features to facilitate the construction of future managed lane roadways and ramps along the I-95 corridor. The project also included reconstruction of Kenwood Avenue and Lillian Holt Drive overpass bridges to accommodate managed lanes. The project extended approximately 1.3 miles along I-95 from north of Hazelwood Avenue overpass to south of King Avenue overpass. It also extended approximately 2.4 miles along I-695 from west of Lillian Holt Drive overpass to west of I-695/Philadelphia Road interchange.
