This Maryland State Highway Administration project was for the test pile program for the new Woodrow Wilson Bridge located on the Potomac River and part of the Capital Beltway around Washington DC. This project featured a 2250 ton static load performed on a 54-inch steel pipe pile. The project’s scope also included multiple land and water piles which included 2 each 24-inch concrete piles and 1 each 36-inch steel pipe pile on land and 54-inch and 48-inch steel pipe pile in the water. The program included a statnamic test and noise reducing pile driving techniques.
