This project was for Harborview Development of the old Key Highway Shipyard property to a new townhome development within the Baltimore Harbor. This work included the demolition of two 500-foot long concrete piers and associated bulkhead and relieving platform with two new concrete pier structures and new relieving platform for the development of new luxury townhomes on the new pier structures. Piers A and B are 450 feet and 600 feet long by 90 feet wide. Their design features 20-inch concrete piles with cast-in-place caps and precast prestressed concrete deck panels. The new relieving platform consisted of a steel sheet pile bulkhead with raker pile tie backs and a cast-in-place concrete cap. The project’s scope also included riprap stabilization, 18-inch stone columns and 24-concrete pile supported promenade and walkway.
