● This project was for the US Navy located within the Yorktown Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, Virginia. The project’s scope of work included the replacement of the existing 1584-foot long by 25-foot wide south approach trestle and a 45-foot wide portion of 1363 feet of the existing south pier.
● Demolition – Concrete deck, caps and pile including the timber fender system and all utilities.
● New Construction – New approach trestle consisted of 54” prestressed concrete cylinder pile, precast caps, prestressed rail girders, and cast-in-place deck. New South Pier consisted of 54” and 36” prestressed concrete cylinder pile, precast concrete caps, and cast-in-place concrete deck. The project included a new fender system, boat house on pile structure and all utilities.
