Shugart Manufacturing
McLean acquired Chester, South Carolina-based Shugart Manufacturing in 2021, further enhancing our interdivisional capabilities. Operating under the Shugart Manufacturing brand, the division specializes in the design, fabrication, and production of sectional barges, barge propulsion units, screeds, barge ramps, and custom steel components—critical to supporting bridge construction and marine projects. In addition to fabrication, Shugart also offers equipment rental and repair services.
In early 2025, Shugart Manufacturing achieved recognition as an AISC Certified Fabricator, a testament to our commitment to quality and precision. Our fully equipped, modern facility enables us to meet the most demanding specifications and aggressive timelines, while maintaining strict quality control throughout every phase of the fabrication process.
