Dredging Services
Colin McLean built the company’s first bucket ladder dredge in 1903, laying the groundwork for innovations in hydraulic and barge-mounted excavator dredging and beginning active dredging operations around the Baltimore Harbor. Today, our Dredging Division focuses primarily on shallow water operations, including 30- to 40-foot channel and harbor dredging. We offer mechanical and hydraulic dredging and unloading to suit project specific requirements and conditions. We specialize in short-tow disposal projects and manage transloading, spoil treatment, remediation, and final disposal through our terminal operating agreement with Port Tobacco Weanack Land Company at Shirley Plantation on the James River in Charles City County, Virginia.
